The classic Moroccan seasoning Harissa is a spicy red blend of chilis, cumin and garlic that complements a wide variety of foods. Harissa can be used in rice, couscous, soups, salads, vegetables, stews, kabobs and even on sandwiches instead of mustard. You can make a traditional Harissa paste by mixing the blend with chopped garlic and olive oil. For extra-spicy flavor, sprinkle Harissa on lamb, beef or chicken as a dry marinade before cooking. We LOVE this spice mix for grilling. Great on steaks, rib rub, pork chops, fish, shrimp. And good mixed in sour cream as a condiment.
We buy it by the pound - it costs less. (Posted on 7/3/15)

I LOVE this spice and use it in most of my blends. Just a hint of heat but not overpowering, I combine it with celery salt and lemon pepper for a meat seasoning and for eggs I use this spice with lemon pepper and Beau Monde.
