Chimichurri is a South and Central American sauce used for grilled meat. It is originally from Argentina but is also used in Uruguay and in countries as far north as Nicaragua, Colombia and Mexico. To prepare Chimichurri sauce simply combine 3 Tbs. Chimichurri Seasoning, 3 Tbs. olive oil, 1 Tbs. water, 1/2 tsp. vinegar and 1/2 tsp. lemon juice. Serve with grilled steak.

    This stuff gets a lotta love in my kitchen. More often than not if a recipe calls for Italian parsley I'll chuck a tablespoon or more of this in as well - but one of its most frequent uses is as an add-on to FineCooking’s Spicy Sausage, Escarole & White Bean Stew recipe (which honestly is tastier - & healthier - with 2 big bunches of chard rather than the escarole IMHO).

    It really takes an otherwise sort of basic soup up several notches. (Posted on 2/7/2018)

    I received this originally in a subscription box and loved it. It is so good that my very basic palated wife now loves steak. This is pantry staple now. Better than A1 or L&P on any steak. (Posted on 4/29/2016)
